The concluding page in our retrospective of the 9th Stroud Running
Day in words and images

The coming of the Bristol LS single deck of the mid-1950s marked a
significant change to Stroud's bus services. No longer was it just
the Bedford OBs that could be operated by the driver alone. The LS
opened up significant one man operated mileage. This bus is a
prototype. Note the signifying white steering wheel

One of Britain's best looking coaches (save for the curved fronted
ECW bodied Bristol RELH, of course!) is the Plaxton Paramount Elite
II seen here on an AEC Reliance chassis of Cottrell's, Mictheldean,
Forest of Dean. It dates back to 1972 and represents the small
number of similarly bodied Leopards once operating at Stroud as dual
purposes

Preservation is about attention to detail, inside and out. Here on
